Orlebar Brown - The perfect companion for the summer

Dear Gentlemen,

it's summer season and I guess all of you are looking for the perfect swim shorts.

For me it was very hard to find the right swim shorts.

Most were too tacky, or hadn't a good fit.

My first idea was to buy one from Vilebrequin, but they weren't good for me. Most of their shorts were simply too long for me and the prints seem to be like the years before.

This year I found Orlebar Brown shorts. They are totally great, perfect fit and good quality.

That's the reason why I bought the one u can see in the last picture.

If you are interested in buying one of these fabulous swim shorts visit http://www.orlebarbrown.co.uk.

They got a big collection and I'm sure that you will find the perfect fitting swim shorts for your needs in one of their stores or in the Orlebar Brown online store!

Yours faithfully,

The Gentleman

The Orlebar Brown story:

"Based in London, Orlebar Brown launched in March 2007 as a more tailored approach to men’s beach and swim shorts. Not so much a swim short but a ‘short you can swim in’, Orlebar Brown offers the essentials for smart holiday travel – something you can wear on the beach, by the pool and then smart enough to go and have a drink or lunch.

In 2010 we began the move off the beach, beyond the pool and into the resort continually evolving our collection to reflect our concept of how resort wear should be.

Orlebar Brown was founded by photographer Adam Brown, who openly confesses the venture to be one of those things he stumbled across quite by accident:

“I went to a friend’s 40th birthday in Rajasthan. The group was mainly made up of people work in design or certainly have a visual sense about them. It was a real mix of married, single, gay, straight, 25 – 55 years old and it was just one of those moments where (maybe with a slightly too critical photographers’ eye), I thought the women looked great and the men looked pretty ghastly. They were all wearing these horrid brightly patterned boxer shorts with elasticated waistbands, or baggy board shorts with their bums hanging out – which is fine on a 17 year old, but not so sure on a man over the age of 30/35.”

“After some initial market research, sourcing, getting the website made, the logo designed etc, I had 1,000 pairs of shorts made and just started selling them from my spare room. I was ready for a change, and essentially, it was the right idea for me at the right time.”

With the intention of offering customers something different and redefining ‘design classics’, Orlebar Brown launched an OB Editions range in 2010. These limited edition collaborations have included Bill Amberg, Monocle, Swami, Eley Kishimoto, Alan Aldridge and WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie.

Timelessly flattering with an understated simplicity, founder Adam Brown’s message is clear: “our styles, fit and colours are not age or place specific. All of our shorts should look equally good either on a yacht in St. Tropez, surfing in Cornwall or at the Blue Marlin in Ibiza.” "
